So we did see a lot of ad networks for 2007, Auction Ads, Widget Bucks and some more. But I guess the conventional is no longer appealing as it still very difficult to generate conversions from these ad networks.
One of the new ideas to hit the ad network seen is the Pay Per Play ads and this case the Net Audio Ads.
Sounds interesting, well let me explain this new concept of monetizing your sites.
So the claim is that you can generate an income for every visit on your website.
Pay Per Play (PPP) will initiate a 5 second audio advertisement to website visitors of specific interests, demographics and geographic locations.
They claim to be backed by one of the 5 search engine biggies and also claims to have firepower to serve ads to the approx. 108 million sites existing in webspace.
As per my understanding and their claims, its 100% conversions. Woot ! Woot !, is this real.
For us webmaster, the future will be lucrative and to begin with you can join their affiliate program that will cease from Feb 1, 2008 when they are scheduled to go live.
Their affiliate program works in 3 Tier level:
1. Get paid for ads played on your site
2. Get paid on ads served on the websites of those that you personally refer
3. Get paid on ads served on the websites of those that your direct referrals refer.
The compensation program is as such:
1. 25% of what the advertiser spends on PPP ads you serve on your own website(s).
2. 5% of what the advertiser spends on PPP ads played on the website(s) of those you refer.
3. 5% of what the advertiser spends on PPP ads played on the website(s) that your direct referrals bring on board.
The 25% may sound a little less, but when we are talking 100% conversions that can be quite a handful.
But, the plus point is that they are very transparent when they make these figures very public.

This could well be the biggest thing of 2008, which is called the “Year Of Social Media”
